Italy's elimination from the tournament.
Both teams were mired in midfield for the first 45 minutes at

Stadium. A few instances showcased Azzurre's ability, but despite several chances, neither team won.
Italy seemed more motivated in the second half, but it was a painful blow when De Caigny scored Belgium's first goal after 49 minutes.
This was when Italy woke up, and Cristiana Girelli's possibilities gave them hope. After an hour, the Azzurre trailed and their Euro 2022 exit was near. The Azzurre were unable to break down a tenacious Belgium defense, and they were eliminated from Euro 2022.
