Flamengo confirmed Vidal signing
The Chilean star returned to South America after 15 years in Europe.
Vidal's contract was terminated by mutual agreement on Monday and he was available to clubs as a free agent. Rio de Janeiro's Flamengo confirmed that they have reached an agreement with the Chilean star to join the club. Vidal was in attendance during his new side's 2-0 win over Atlético Mineiro at the Maracana as they progressed to the quarter-finals of the Copa De Brasil. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich star joined Inter in 2020 and signed a contract with the team until 2022 with an extension clause.
Reports suggest that Inter could pay Vidal 4 million euros to terminate the contract. He played only 2 games in Serie A last season and therefore Inter Milan wanted to leave the club. Vidal will return to South America after 15 years in Europe. He left Colo-Colo for Bayer Leverkusen in 2007 and after 4 years in this team, he joined Juventus and stayed in Turin until 2015. He then joined Bayern Munich and spent two years in Barcelona.
