Free-agent Luis Suarez to join the newly-promoted Serie A club Monza

The former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid forward is reportedly considering a transfer to Serie A this summer because he believes he isn't through with Europe yet ahead of the upcoming World Cup, with the newly-promoted Serie A side Monza joining the race for his signature.

The former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid forward is reportedly considering a transfer to Serie A this summer because he believes he isn't through with Europe yet as the 35-year-old Uruguayan marksman is keen to stay in Europe to aid his preparations for the World Cup in Qatar

, Silvio Berlusconi’s club, Monza, is keen on the signature of the striker. Monza was promoted to Serie A from Serie B in 2021/22 and a player as decorated as Suarez would be a great advantage for the Italian club.

, was close to sign for River Plate but after their elimination from Copa Libertadores, he opted to stay in Europe ahead of the upcoming World Cup. The newly-promoted Serie A club Monza reportedly emerges as a suitor for the Uruguayan.

Suarez scored 13 goals and provided 3 assists in 45 matches last season. He joined Atletico in 2020 and scored 34 goals in 83 matches for them. Former Liverpool star helped Atletico to win the La Liga title in 2021.
