Bayern Munich sporting director flies to Italy for De Ligt talks
Bayern Munich sporting director will fly to Italy on Monday to negotiate with Juventus over Matthijs de Ligt.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Hasan Salihamidzic will be in Italy tomorrow to officially open the negotiations over
De Ligttransfer. Romano says
Juventusis still waiting to receive an official bid for De Lift from
Bayern Munichand Chelsea.
Chelsea was interested in signing the Dutch defender but he prefers to join Bayern and the English club is backing off to focus on other targets instead. Bayern is serious about De Lift and is ready to spend huge money to sign him.
Juventus wanted to extend the 22-year-old defender but they could not reach an agreement with De Ligt and now is willing to sell him if they receive an offer for around €90-100m. His contract will expire in 2024.
It is expected that Salihamidzic will present Bayern’s offer Which is likely to be closer to €75m plus €10-15m in add-ons.
De Ligt joined Juventus from Ajax in 2019 for around €80 million. Since then has scored 8 goals in 117 matches. He has won one Serie A and one Coppa Italia with Juventus.
