Salihamidzic: I expect to see Lewandowski at training

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic says Robert Lewandowski will not leave the Bundesliga champions.

has a year left in his contract with

Bayern Munich

but has insisted he wants to take on a new challenge and join Barcelona.

Bayern has always insists they will keep the 33-year-old Lewandowski until the end of his contract and now Salihamidzic says even after signing

Sadio Mane

from Liverpool they still want to keep Poland international.

Salihamidzic told Sport Bild:

"I don't care about that. I'm expecting to see Robert in training at Sabener Strasse on July 12.”

Bayern Munich on Wednesday completed the signing of Sadio Mane from Liverpool in a deal worth up to £35m. The 30-year-old has signed a contract with the German champions until 2025.

He explained:

"We signed Sadio to increase the competition in our team.

"We weren’t happy with our Champions League exit against Villarreal. We want to strengthen the fight for spots on our team.

"The signing of Mane will reshuffle the cards for every attacking player. We have never thought about having to let a player go when we signed Sadio."
