Mario Gotze

is on the verge of a Bundesliga second coming after being allowed to miss PSV’s first training session under the reign of Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The 30-year-old attacker has been linked with a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, Europa League winners.

The

Serie A

winners

Milan

were also keen on acquiring Gotze, but according to reports in Germany, he would most likely make a move to Frankfurt.

Sport1 revealed that Gotze, who made a move to PSV in 2020 and has two years until his contract expiration date, has a clause that allows him to depart for €4million and that they have reached an agreement with Eintracht.

PSV said that Gorze will be absent from training, revealing that he had been "given the space... to complete a transfer to another club".

Gotze, who has earned 63 caps by Germany, was the match winner in the World Cup of 2014, meeting the back of the net in the battle against Argentina in the stoppage time.

He netted 12 goals and contributed 11 assists for PSV last season, featuring in 52 matches.

Van Nistelrooy has to place without Gotze and he was announce to be the new boss for PSV, penning a three-year deal.
