Wales' boss Giggs to stand down from his role

Ryan Giggs is about to leave his post as the manager of Wales.

Ryan Giggs

has been on leave from his managerial role since November 2020 and is about to have a trial regarding domestic violence in Manchester on August 8.

The ex-

Manchester United

player was accused of coercive and controlling behavior against his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville between 2017 and 2020.

Giggs was accused of committing an assault on Ms. Greville, harming her and her sister Emma Greville on November 1, 2020.

He denided the accusations and said he is not guilty. There will be a trial on August 8.

boss and led them to their first World Cup in 64 years in the absence of Giggs. Page will stay in chatge in Qatar as Giggs decided to slow down.

He joined the club in 2018.

Moreover, the Football Association of Wales did not comment when asked by

Sky Sports News

. Giggs, who earned 64 caps in his playing time, was a replacement for Chris Coleman as their manager.

He had to win the trust of many fans who questioned his commitment to the team.

Bale said:

"I think he is the long-term manager. I don't think there is any question in the changing room or from the fans.

"He's done an incredible job coming in, in difficult circumstances. Everyone with him has a great relationship.

"I guess that's why you achieve big things when your team is happy and your manager is doing well."
