Official: Tottenham signed Brighton star Bissouma

Tottenham's third acquisition was finalized in the summer and the Mali star headed to London.

Tottenham have announced that they have signed Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma for € 25 million.

On Friday, Antonio Conte finalized his team's third summer acquisition after Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic. The Italian boss had previously told club manager Daniel Levy that Tottenham needed new players in order to compete with clubs such as Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. So far, Levy has agreed to the demands of the Italian coach, and the third summer purchase has been finalized today.

Brighton manager Graham Potter said:

"The transfer is a very good one for the club and player.

"Yves has shown his undoubted ability and been an important player during his time with us.

"Now he has a new challenge with Tottenham, including the opportunity to play Champions League football, and everyone at the club wishes him well."

Bissouma will compete with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks, Rodrigo Bentancur and Oliver Skipp in the center of Tottenham's midfield. He was also considered by Arsenal, but his presence in the Champions League certainly influenced his decision. He played 26 games for Brighton last season and was one of his team's best players.
