Yves Bissouma completes medical ahead of move to Tottenham
Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has completed his Tottenham medical.
The 25-year-old will sign his contract with
Tottenhamafter they agreed on a £25m deal with
Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 25-year-old midfielder would be the third addition to Antonio Conte’s squad this summer after Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster. According to the English press, Spurs is ready to spend around £150m to bolster Conte's squad this summer and the Italian manager wants to sign another three players.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Everton had been interested in Mali international player but it was Spurs who won the race to sign him. Aston Villa made an official bid for Bissouma in January but Brighton rejected it.
has one year left on his Brighton contract and Sky Sport claims that Tottenham will pay £25m with £10m in add-ons for him. Bissouma joined Brighton from Like for around £15m in 2018 and since then has played in 124 appearances for the Seagulls.
Bissouma is also part of an ongoing police investigation of a sexual assault case. He was arrested in October and later was released pending investigation but there hasn’t been an update on his case since April.
