Salah played with Injury against Guinea - Egypt manager

The Liverpool star took a big risk in the Egypt recent match.

Egypt

coach Ehab Galal claimed that

Mohamed Salah

played with an injury during his side's 1-0 win over Guinea on Sunday.

Salah played throughout the match of his team in the Africa Cup of Nations, and finally the Pharaohs managed to win with the goal of Mostafa Mohammad. Galal, who replaces Carlos Queiroz on the Egyptian bench, claimed after the victory in his first game as the Egypt coach that

Liverpool

asked Salah to do an X-ray before the game, but he refused.

He said:

"Salah was suffering from an injury and played through it. He rejected Liverpool’s request for an x-ray before the game and will now undergo it."

Salah had a great season in the Premier League, winning the Golden Boot jointly with Son Heung-min with 23 goals, and was also named Player of the Year by the Football Writers' Association and PFA Fans. He also won the EFL Cup and the FA Cup with Liverpool and finished runners-up in the Premier League and Champions League.

Egypt will play Ethiopia in their next match on Thursday, followed by a friendly against South Korea.
