Bayern Munich ready to move for Leipzig's Laimer

Romano claims

does not want to sell Konrad Laimer but will start listening to offers should anyone propose a deal worth at least €20 million because his contract expires next summer.

Manchester United has been linked with the Austrian midfielder but it seems Bayern is the frontrunners to sign him and has been on Nagelsmann's radar since last summer. Laimer played under Nagelsmann when he was manager of Leipzig.

According to the German press, Hasan Salihamidžić met with Konrad Laimer’s agent Björn Bezemer over the weekend and a deal for Laimer is independent of the Gravenberch transfer.

Laimer recently when asked about his future said:

"Otherwise, there would only be unrest and I'd have to worry about things that aren't the most important right. I'll be 25 in May and have enough experience to make such decisions clearly. I need a good feeling. I have to like what people tell me.

"It's about the plan with me and with the team. Of course, it's also about goals. If I'm convinced of that, I'll do it.

"Every player and every situation is different. What happened to one player doesn't necessarily happen to another. Sometimes it also depends on what type of player you are and what makes you tick.

"Getting information is good, but I make decisions myself. I concentrate on myself, not on the way of others."

The 24 year old Laimer joined Leipzig from Salzburg in 2017. He has scored 11 goals in 159 appearances.
