Nketiah shrugs off Arsenal future as he made a winning brace vs. Leeds

Eddie Nketiah remained undecided about his future after his double handed Leeds United a 2-1 loss and brought Arsenal closer to

qualification. 

Nketiah opened the score after Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier made a mistake, and he added a second goal barely 10 minutes later at Emirates Stadium in the

. 

Even though Diego Llorente brought one back in the second half, his close-range shot was in vain. Luke Ayling was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Gabriel Martinelli just 27 minutes in.

With three matches remaining in the race for a top-four finish,

moved four points off the top of close rivals Tottenham, ahead of a crucial north London derby on Thursday. 

Nketiah is poised to turn into a free agent at the end of the season, and when questioned about his future after sending his previous side Leeds into the relegation zone, the attacker, who has been associated with Crystal Palace, gave little information. 

He told Sky Sports:

"It's a great atmosphere throughout the whole season, it's been excellent.

"You really feel the connection between the players and the fans, it's amazing to be involved."

Nketiah has had few chances this season, but he has four goals in as many appearances after scoring twice against Chelsea.

Mikel Arteta's team are vying to return to Europe's top club tournament, and the 22-year-old is enjoying the opportunity to demonstrate what he can do. 

He said:

"Any player just wants to be playing and get the opportunities. I've worked hard throughout the season to make sure that I was ready when I get my chance, and credit to my team-mates for helping me play and do well. I'm just happy in the team and helping."

Arsenal will be assured a spot in the Champions League if they beat Spurs at home, while Leeds are now in the bottom three after Everton's 2-1 win against Leicester City.
