Man Utd management can rebuild the club- Schmeichel

The Danish legend believes that current Man Utd management can change the situation.

After the humilating defeat against

Liverpool

,

Manchester United

legend Peter Schmeichel has claimed that he has complete confidence in Richard Arnold, the club's chief executive, to rebuild the team.

Manchester United went to Anfield last night and lost 4-0 to their old rival. Eric Ten Hag is expected to be introduced as the next head coach of the Red Devils. The Red Devils are 3 points away from the top 4 teams and now they have a difficult mission to reach next season's Champions League. Schmeichel now defended the club's management and expressed confidence that Arnold could change the situation.

He said:

"This is about a rebuild of the club. We changed leadership at the beginning of February. Richard Arnold has started the job of CEO, and it's the first CEO we have had since David Gill.

"He has a bit of power now to do what he thinks is right for the job, and I welcome that.

"I have had lots of conversations with him about the future of Man United, and he understands it's not about the manager, it's about restructuring and modernising the club.

"We pride ourselves on our fantastic history, but at some point, we have to plan ahead. I have great faith in him and the direction he wants to take the club."
