Atletico to attempt to sign Wijnaldum in summer
The Dutch star is not doing well in the French capital and is likely to leave in the summer.
Wijnaldum left the club for Paris Saint-Germain last summer after completing his contract with Liverpool. While he was expected to sign for Barcelona after leaving Anfield, the former Newcastle star chose PSG in the final minutes. But things did not go his way at PSG and the Dutch midfielder was included in only 13 of his team from the start and his presence in Pochettino's starting line-up is not guaranteed.
Reports from Spain indicate that Atletico Madrid intend to sign him next summer. Wijnaldum has a three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain and in summer he will have only 12 months left.
Their offer is expected to be 20 million euros, and after the separation of Hector Herrera to MLS was finalized, Simeone wants to strengthen his team's midfield.
