Madrid linked with a move for Arsenal’s Tierney

Los Blancos have been linked with the Gunners left-back, as per reports from Mundo Deportivo.

Marcelo

is speculated to be on determined to depart

Real Madrid

when his contract reaches its end this season and Los Blancos are in need of replacing him.

Kieran Tierney

, who joined

Arsenal

in 2019 from

Celtic

, emerges as a potential replacement. The 24-year-old, who has 29 senior caps for his Scotland, has established himself as a defender under Mikel Arteta, featuring in 81 matches, finding the target four times and contributing 12 assists. He even has experience playing in the Champions League, even if that game needs to be forgotten – Celtic were defeated 7-0 at the hands of Barcelona in 2016/17.

However, it would not be an inexpensive move as the player’s cost will be at least €30m, which could ultimately prove prohibitive.

After all, Ferland Mendy is the regular left-back at Los Blancos and all they would be searching for is a player to give him competition.
