Hodgson joins Watford for the rest of the season

Watford has hired Roy Hodgson as their new manager until the end of their current campaign.

Roy Hodgson

, who has the experience of working at

Liverpool

in the Premier League and

England

national team, has been appointed as

Watford’s

head coach with a deal that runs until the end of the season. The experienced manager has been chosen to help the club after

Claudio Ranieri’s

departure.

Ranieri was sacked on Monday after his unacceptable performance as the club’s head coach leading his side to the 19th place on the Premier League two points away from the safe zone, and now the club expects Roy Hodgson, who is 74 years old and will be the oldest head coach in the history of the Premier League to change things around with his experience of working with 16 different teams in the 46 years that he has been in the game.

The important part about Hodgson’s arrival is that the club and the fans had the same expectations from Ranieri when he was appointed as their manager as he was another experienced and high-profile head coach who was supposed to make a difference in the club’s situation with his experience, and we have to wait and see if the new head coach can live up to the expectations or not.
