Derby will face liquidation if no buyer offers - EFL president

Derby Club is struggling with severe financial problems.

Rick Parry, head of the Football League, claimed that they are working day and night to find a solution to the

Derby

's financial problems.

If the current administrators of the derby can not find a buyer for the club, they will face liquidation and the legal actions of

Middlesbrough

and Wycombe Wanderers have caused the three buyers of the club to reject their offer.

The current management of the club hopes to be able to provide enough reasons for the EFL to receive funding for the continuation of the season. And the league organizer predicts that Derby will not have a budget in February. Parry believes that the preferred bidder is a missing piece of the puzzle and stressed that the clubs will try to reach an agreement.

He said:

"We're willing to work night and day to find a solution to this to cut through the noise, to cut through the problems, but we do need that preferred bidder identified so that we're all talking realities and practicalities.

"We can roll our sleeves up and get deals done and get solutions."

"The clubs involved are prepared to sit around the table."
