Ghana

were eliminated from the

Africa Cup of Nations

after their 3-2 loss at the hands of

Comoros

.

Had they won the battle, they would have progressed as one of the best third-placed teams. However,

Ahmed Mogni

’s brace had them undone and helped his side win their first game in the AFCON.

After four minutes into the game, Comoros scored the opener through El Fardou Ben Nabouhane, who met the back of the net.

Ghana were handed a blow as Ayew received a red card as they worked to level the game. VAR announced that he fouled on goalkeeper Salim Ben Boina.
