Bayern Munich’s win over Wolfsburg was full of records

Bayern Munich defeats Wolfsburg 4-0 in a night that they had an impressive performance.

Bayern Munich’s

4-0 victory over

Wolfsburg

was on the night that

Thomas Muller

had an amazing performance, and

Robert Lewandowski

broke Gerd Muller’s record, which had been standing for a very long time.

It was Muller’s 400th Bundesliga appearance for the Bavarians, and he opened scoring for his side in the seventh minute of the game at Allianz Arena before setting a goal for his teammate Dayot Upamecano who doubled the lead for the home side.

Julian Nagelsmann’s

men kept controlling the game as Leroy Sane scored the third goal and Lewandowski scored another one, which was his 43rd league goal in 2021, meaning that he has broken Bayern legend Gerd Muller's long-standing Bundesliga calendar-year scoring record.

The Bavarians are the leaders in the domestic competition, nine points ahead of

Borussia Dortmund

, who sit second on the table and will face Hertha Berlin on Saturday ahead of the mid-season break.

Despite their 4-0 victory, the Bavarians missed so many opportunities starting with

Jamal Musiala’s

missed chance after Muller’s opening goal and then Lewandowski who had two opportunities to find the net before finally scoring his side’s fourth and this shows Bayern Munich’s dominance over their opposition throughout the game which is not a new thing about the Bundesliga giants.
