Calhanoglu's allusion to Milan: Inter sense my quality

Inter returned to the top of the Serie A table with a victory last night.

Inter Milan

star Hakan

Calhanoglu

has sneered at his former club

AC Milan

, claiming that Inter value his quality.

Last night, Inter played

Cagliari

and managed to defeat their opponent 4-0 and reach the top of the Serie A table. Two goals from

Lautaro Martinez

, one from Alexis Sanchez and one from

Calhanoglu

led to a decisive victory for Inter. Now the Turkish star, who joined Inter from Milan last summer, has claimed that his new club appreciates his qualities.

“I am very happy to be here. It makes me proud. I want to thank the team, as they really help me to become an important player, they sense my quality and contribution, so I give my best for the club.

“I also thank the fans, as they are always right behind me. It is an honour for me to be here at Inter.

We’ve played many games well, now we are top of the table, we dominated so many matches and earned our place.”

Martinez missed his second penalty of the season last night and many believe that

Calhanoglu

should take his team's penalty kicks. The Turkish star added:

“Let’s not create trouble over that penalty. I can get them wrong too. We are a team, we are all together, we played very well and Lautaro scored two goals today. The team always comes first.”
