‘Flamengo have the quality to play in Champions League ‘ - David Luiz
Former Chelsea defender David Luiz believes Flamengo have enough quality to play in the Champions League ahead of their Copa Libertadores final against Palmeiras.

Flamengoback in September following the expiry of his contract with the Gunners in June.
Injuries have hindered his spell at Brazilian domestic football, but his team has advanced to the final of South America's showcase tournament with an unblemished record beyond the group stage.
Speaking ahead of the final game against
Palmeiras, the 34-year-old told
Stats Performhow he believes Flamengo are good enough to compete in the Champions League.
"
I believe that is right,"
David Luiz
responded when asked whether Flamengo could cut it in the Champions League.
"Flamengo are the first club to be organized to give players the opportunity to represent and do best what we have to do, and that is to play football the best way we can.
"We have an amazing structure – high calibre players, players who have played in numerous places and have a lot of quality. I believe, yes, we have the quality to play in the Champions League, without a doubt."
Luiz helped Chelsea claim the UEFA Champions League in 2012 as well as two UEFA Europa League titles in 2013 and 2019. He also won Premier League in 2017.
