Thomas Partey available for Liverpool clash

The Gunners midfielder has recovered from a muscle injury to be at the manager’s disposal for their Premier League battle against the Reds on Saturday.

Thomas Partey

did not feature for

Arsenal

in their last match before the international break, which came down to a 1-0 victory over

Watford

, and he did not go with the Ghana squad for their important World Cup qualifiers in November.

Before that the midfielder has been a regular under Arteta, playing in all of their seven matches in the

Premier League

, having previously missed the first three matches of the game with an ankle problem.

Now he is going to be available for Arsenal this weekend as he is no longer on the injury list. He is probably going to replace Ainsley Maitland-Niles alongside Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Having Partey back, Arsenal’s list of injuries is becoming short, with the only first-team players still out being

Sead Kolasinac

and

Granit Xhaka

.

Kolasinac sustained an ankle injury while playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has come back to the UK, where he is being further assessed.

Xhaka, meanwhile, is trying to get better after his knee injury. His rehabilitation is progressing and the Switzerland international is planning to train normally by the New Year.

Notwithstanding Arsenal’s start to the season, with three losses in the Premier League games, they have turned things around and may go past Liverpool with a victory on Saturday.
