Galatasaray eyeing Aliou Dieng as their summer target

The Turkish giants are interested in signing the Al Ahly midfielder in the January transfer window.

Galatasaray

had always been eager to acquire

Aliou Dieng

’s services, having made a €6.5 million offer to

Al Ahly

in the summer, but they failed to reach an agreement as Al Ahly’s demanding price was €8 million.

He started the season on the right foot, particularly in the Cairo Derby last Friday where he found the back of the net and received the Egyptian Premier League Player of the Week Award.

His performance attracted the attention of the Yellow and Reds and they are considering opening another negotiation with the club, as per reports from Fanatik.

Since making a move to the Red Devils in 2019, he appeared in 96 matches and contributed to consecutive CAF Champions League titles, the CAF Super Cup, the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup.

The Turkish side also linked with Mohamed Elneny recently, with the Egypt international also willing to make a move to Turkey, based on his agent’s words.

Both players perform in the defensive midfielder position and it remains to be seen which is going to matchup with Mostafa Mohamed in winter.
