Sacchi: Pirlo’s decision to join Juventus could cost him dearly
The ex-Rossoneri coach said Andrea Pirlo’s decision to accept the Juventus job was a ‘mistake’ that could have ‘cost him dearly’.
The ex-midfielder became Maurizio Sarri’s replacement at
Juventusbefore the start of the 2020-21 season and was only in charge for one season.

thinks the inexperienced coach did not make the right decision to join the Bianconeri and it might have ‘cost him dearly’, as he is still not working.

I think he can re-enter the world of football,”
Sacchi said as a guest of Tiki Taka.
“You also need a little luck, he went to a Juve where it was almost impossible to do well.
“Pirlo accepted out of ambition and made a mistake that could cost him dearly.”
The tactician has been attracting Barcelona and Genoa’s attention, but Xavi is now appointed as Ronald Koeman’s successor and Genoa brought in Andriy Shevchenko as Davide Ballardini’s replacement.
Sacchi thinks Pirlo’s year at Juventus is the reason why he is still without a job.
