Chile coach explains why Alexis Sanchez is ‘angry’ at Inter

Chile manager Martin Lasarte admits Alexis Sanchez is angry with his lack of action at Inter this season.

Sanchez

has complained about lack of playing time at

Inter

, having only played 70 minutes across four substitute appearances so far this season.

The former

Arsenal

and

Manchester United

striker has no place in

Simone Inzaghi

’s plans and is expected to leave the Serie A champions in the January transfer window.

Despite his issues at Inter, Sanchez continues to be an integral part of his country and provided an assist in Chile’s 2-0 win over Paraguay on Sunday night.

After the match,

Lasarte

gave his assessment of the Chilean’s performance.

“Alexis’ second half was extraordinary to me. He looked like Alexis at his best,”

he said

.

“Surely he is angry because he always wants more. Last week I heard people saying that he had no minutes in his legs and was not in top condition.”

Sanchez scored seven goals and provided five assists in 30 games for Inter last season as the Nerazzurri won the Scudetto under Antonio Conte.
