United’s pursuit of Varane may ‘collapse’ amid transfer twist

The Red Devils are keen on sealing a deal with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.

Manchester United

may not get

Raphael Varane

’s signature if they don’t stump up more cash, as per recent reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

is prioritizing the Frenchman’s signature; however, despite many talks with

Real Madrid

for a potential move for the France international, it seems that they are not on the same page.

United have been taking their pursuit of Varane very seriously. However, they fear being burned again like in 2015, when Sergio Ramos used the Red Devils’ interest to seal himself a big contract at Real Madrid.

Varane, on the other hand, has expressed his eagerness to making a move to Old Trafford.

He is reported to have talked with president Florentino Perez about his departure after a decade, where he has contributed to 18 major trophies.

According to Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz, United should offer more if they like the deal to be completed.

Real are demanding a £70million transfer fee for the 28-year-old, but United have spent a lot of money signing Jadon Sancho and are not able to offer more than £50m, especially when the France international’s contract will expire in a year.

It has yet to be seen whether an agreement will be reached or not.
