Raphael Varane agrees to join Manchester United
The Real Madrid defender is on the verge of completing a summer move to Old Trafford.
has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent weeks. Having spent a disappointing Euro 2020 campaign with France, the center-back is approached by Manchester United for a potential summer transfer.
According to
Sport, Varane has agreed to join the Red Devils ahead of the next season. Real Madrid were reportedly asking for a €60m fee, but Manchester United had the upper hand in the negotiations as the Frenchman has only one year left on his current deal with the Blancos.
Following the departure of Sergio Ramos, who is set to join PSG, Varane will be the next Real Madrid defender to leave Santiago Bernabeu in the summer. The Blancos are reportedly interested in a loan move for Manchester United’s
Diogo Dalotas part of their plans to compensate for Ramos’ departure.
