Marco Verratti could play - Mancini confirmed

Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Marco Verratti will be available for the final group stage game against Wales.

Italy have already booked their place in the next round and will be in first place in their group if they do not lose against Wales.

I’ll ask the team to play as we know. We want to win to finish top of the group,”

Mancini told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s our third game in ten days, some players are tired, and this may be the only moment to rotate the squad a little bit.”

Marco Verratti missed the first two games due to a knee injury, but he could make his Euro 2020 debut against Wales.

He is not 100 per cent fit, but he can make up for it with his technical skills. He could start or come off the bench, we’ll decide tomorrow,”

Mancini concluded.
