Vazquez on the verge of signing a renewal contract with Real Madrid
As everyone was paying attention to Real Madrid appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their coach, the Los Blancos were also reaching an agreement with Lucas Vazquez for a renewal, according to Marca.
The Spain international’s contract was due to expire on June 30; however, he has reached an agreement with
Real Madridto sign a renewal contract that will keep him for another three seasons and all that is missing is the signature.

’s future was uncertain the whole season, with many believing that he may depart when the campaign ends. When the 29-year-old is playing on the pitch, he is excelling. Vazquez has stood in skillfully as a right-back and proved his value to be an all-rounder.
The Spanish right-back will be Madrid’s second player to re-sign a deal with them in the summer transfer window, with the first one being
Luka Modric
. They aimed to reward their two prolific performers.
Vazquez will have his first season under the reign of Ancelotti, as he was in the youth system of the club before knowing life away from the Spanish capital; the Spain international came back to Madrid in 2015, right after Ancelotti had been dismissed. He has stayed put ever since and if he signs the contract, he is going to have remained at the club for nine years.
