The Brighton head coach is uncertain whether the Mali international will remain put at Amex Stadium for the next campaign.

Brighton

manager

Graham Potter

admitted that

Yves Bissouma

’s future at the club is yet unknown.

The Malian has enjoyed another great season at the Seagulls, helping his side avoid relegation and establishing himself as one of the most consistent Premier League players.

The midfielder’s contract will expire in two years but he has been linked with a move away and Potter revealed that the 24-year-old’s future is uncertain after their defeat at the hands of Arsenal their final clash.

When quizzed if he could assure Bissouma’s stay amid links from Liverpool and Arsenal, Potter said:

"Not really. He’s got a contract with us. As far as I know he’s going to report to pre-season like everyone else, but it’s football.

"Like anything, in the summer we have to make some good decisions and improve the football club."

Bissouma has not commented on his next move, but he promised to be dedicated to his side’s cause in April as Brighton aimed to stay in the Premier League.

I don’t have much to say about that because I’m at Brighton for the moment,”

he said.

“I consider myself a Brighton player, so the most important thing right now, is to stay up. We’ll try and God willing, we’ll see how things go next season.”

The Mali international joined the club in 2018 from Lille and Brighton convinced him to put pen to paper for a five-year contract.

He has made 96 appearances for his side ever since, meeting the target four times and contributing one assist.
