West Ham lead the race for Celtic star

Odsonne Edouard has been reportedly a long-term target for the Hammers as they are the favorites to sign the striker in the race with Leicester and Arsenal.

Football Insider

has reported that due to the recent form of Kelechi Iheanacho, who has scored 11 goals in his last 11 games, Leicester’s interest in Edouard has waned. The Nigerian was awarded a new three-year deal at the King Power Stadium.

The Hoops have valued their talisman at £40 million last year as the 23-year-old striker made it clear he wishes to leave the club.

Despite rising through the youth ranks at PSG, Edouard failed a first-team appearance for the Parisiens as he joined Celtic on loan in August 2017 before signing permanently at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Edouard, who has bagged 72 goals in his 134 Celtic appearances, has been tipped to join West Ham this summer as the Hammers suffer a shortage in the position with Sebastian Haller’s departure last January.
