Fabregas wants to stay committed to his contract

Monaco’s experienced midfielder believes that he can continue playing at top level.

Monaco’s

Cesc Fabregas

has talked about his situation at the club, insisting that he will stay at the club until his deal with the French side continues and thinks that he can keep playing at the highest level.

The World Cup winner has been struggling for playing time this season, and this had generated rumors about his future at the club, but the 33-year-old insists that he still wants to be the best and sees this as the reason he has been playing at a high level for many years.

“I always strive to be the best. That’s why I’ve been playing in the top flight for 19 years and now I intend to complete my contract here,”

Fabregas told

Telefoot

.

Fabregas has played 58 games for Monaco since he arrived from Chelsea in 2019, but he hasn’t been able to find his spot in Kovac’s starting lineup this season, although Kovac claims about the experienced midfielders’ importance for the team shows him as a key player to the Ligue 1 side.

“The young players learn a lot from him,”

the Monaco boss said in a press conference

. “With Cesc there, they learn how to play with and without the ball. They see what they need to do on and off the pitch. He’s an intelligent man and will definitely be a coach in the future.”
