Aubameyang’s issue resolved in positive way, says Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s disciplinary issue at the club has been resolved but insists the Gabon striker must earn his place back in the team.

in the North London derby due to a disciplinary reason.

The Gunners boss said the striker’s issue has now been resolved ahead of their Europa League clash with

Olympiacos

on Thursday but didn’t confirm whether he will feature in the return leg tie.

Arteta told his press conference

: “Yes. We talked, everything has been resolved in a really positive way. So we move forward.”

Asked whether Aubameyang will return to the starting line-up, the Spaniard responded:

“No, everybody has to obviously perform at the highest level to earn his place in the team and there is no exceptions there. We will try to put out a really competitive team to try and win the game.”
