The Red Devils are looking to sign Andre Silva

Manchester United and Arsenal show interest in signing Andre Silva.

The possibility of

Andre Silva’s

transfer to the Premier League has raised as

Manchester United

joins

Arsenal

in the race to sign the Portuguese striker.

Following Andre Silva’s impressive performance in Eintracht Frankfurt, Arsenal had shown interest in signing the 25-year, and then Manchester United joined the race.

The Portuguese international has scored 19 goals in 22 games, and the only player who has scored more goals than him in Bundesliga this season is Robert Lewandowski.

Manchester United is looking to sign Silva to be the backup player for Cavani in the bigger picture.

Arsenal has been looking to bring Silva to London to fill Alexandre Lacazette’s place as he seems to be leaving the club soon. Lacazette’s improvement, however, in the recent weeks has been changing the odds as Arteta keeps praising the French Forward’s performance, and this could be good news for Manchester United.

Here is what Arteta said about Lacazette, whose exit may be a reason for the Gunners’ interest in Andre Silva:

“He's got a contract with us,

“He played really well the other week. It's exactly what we demand him to do.

“I'm really happy with him and the discussions about his contract will happen soon and we will see what happens.”
