Inter Milan have officially announced that five members of the team have tested positive for COVID-19.
After winning the Derby della Madonnina,
Intersecured their position at the top of the table being four points clear of
Milan, and given the games ahead, it seemed that the Nerazzurri would not have a difficult task ahead, at least in the coming weeks, but now a strange crisis has hit the Italian club.
Inter’s official website has issued a statement confirming that Managing directors
Alessandro Antonello
and
Giuseppe Marotta
, sporting director
Piero Ausilio
and the club’s lawyer,
Angelo Capellini
have been infected with coronavirus and need to start self-isolation.
The statement from Inter said that a member of the club's staff has also tested positive for the virus, but no name was mentioned.
The crisis has caused concern for Nerazzurri fans that the team's players may have been infected with the virus as they have had close contacts with the infected managers.
Inter are experiencing good days at Serie A and If coronavirus spreads among Inter players, it could be the worst possible news and a great misfortune for
