Panetolikos keeper missed his side’s game for burning hand
Panetolikos stopper Christopher Knett missed his side’s game because of a freak accident in the kitchen.
The Austrian goalkeeper burned his hand while cooking at home and he was forced onto the sidelines and did not play for his side on Monday in the Greek Super League.
However, his absence was not felt as
Panetolikos’ second-choice goalkeeper
Nikolaos Melissas
kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.
Broadcaster Nova caught up with the player who revealed his absence was due to an accident in the kitchen.
“I will stay out of this game and all will be okay for next week, all will be okay,”
he said after showing the reporter his damaged hand, which in fairness did look blistered.
“It happens.”
When asked whether he was able to finish cooking his steak, Knett said
: “My wife did the cooking.”
