Stars Reynolds and McElhenney takeover Wrexham

The duo has previously expressed their interest in investing in the Welsh cub as make an effort to get back to the English Football League.

, Hollywood stars, have finished the process of taking over the National League side

Wrexham AFC

, according to the club. Wrexham were found in 1864, being one of the third oldest clubs around the world.

The pair invested £2 million into the Welsh club who sit in the English football’s fifth tier. They pronounced their desire to buy the club in September 2020. Reynolds, who had been nominated for the Best Actor in 2017 in the Golden Globe, is a Canadian actor famous for playing in the “Deadpool” franchise. McElhenney, on the other hand, is known for playing in the "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" TV show.

The club has been eliminated from League Two in 2007-08 season and are now in the fifth-tier National League.

It is a special day for the two of us to become the latest stewards in the long and storied history of Wrexham AFC,
