Ander Barrenetxea remains at Real Sociedad until 2027

have reached an agreement to extend the contract between the two sides until June 30, 2027. The player from San Sebastián has signed a new contract with President Jokin Aperribay and football director Roberto Olabe.
Barrenetxea is just 19 years old. He came through La Real’s academy setup before representing the club’s C and B team, making his first-team debut in 2018.
The first player born in the 21st century to play in La Liga, the winger has played for La Roja at U18, U19, and U21 level, serving as part of the Spanish side to win the U19 European Championship in 2019.
La Real experienced a stunning start to the season but their excellent form has dropped in recent months. They are now sitting sixth in the La Liga table seven points behind Sevilla and a Champions League place.
