Arteta on Tierney’s recovery process following Wolves defeat

The Gunners boss admitted to Tierney not being ready for their Wolves clash.

Arsenal

manager, Mikel Arteta, gave an update on

Kieran Tierney

’s injury as he revealed

Mat Ryan

’s recovery efforts to make up for

Bernd Leno

's red card absence.

Arsenal, who failed to secure their win against

Wolverhampton

after seeing

David Luiz

and Leno being sent off for making fouls, have not featured Tierney in their line-up since their last three

Premier League

games.

Arteta admitting to the player’s unavailability for the Wolves match, said:

"He wasn’t close at all [to playing on Tuesday]. Hopefully in the next few days he feels much better and he can come into the team and help us in this moment where we have so many games."

The Spaniard later talked about Ryan, who is still waiting for his first appearance with Arsenal after joining the Gunners on a loan from

Brighton

, revealing that the player is still recovering from a recent knock but hopefully he will be available for their upcoming games.

"Mat had a muscular issue and in the last two days he hasn’t been able to train,"

he said.

"Hopefully we can get him back in the next few days."
