Kyut on Davies and Kabak's moves to Liverpool

The ex-Reds player admitted to being surprised by the recent moves at Anfield despite the club’s need for new defenders.

According to former

Liverpool

frontman, Dirk Kuyt,

Ben Davies

and

Ozan Kabak

would have never joined the Reds if it wasn’t for the club’s recent injury crisis in their defense-line.

Kabak and Davies, who arrived at Anfield coming from

Schalke

and

Preston

respectively, have been offered

“A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”

, believes Kyut.

He told

Sky Sports

:<em>

“A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

“We all know that normally Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t sign this type of player but, because of the injuries, this kind of player can have a chance.”

“I think this is perfect for Liverpool to have two defenders coming in and I’m sure they are ready to show what they can bring to the team. Normally you don’t see these kind of signings at Liverpool, but it’s a great opportunity.”

Adding on Kabak’s previous links with Liverpool, Kyut said:

“It was a bit of a surprise for me that they let him go to Liverpool, but for the lad it is a great opportunity.”

“I think he is a good signing because he is still very young but he has played a lot of games so far and I’m really looking forward to seeing him play for Liverpool.”

With

Virgil van Dijk

,

Joe Gomez

,

Joel Matip

, and

Fabinho

being out on the sidelines, the two new additions seem like great options for Jurgen Klopp’s centre-half.
