Alfredo Morelos faces a three-game ban over Ryan Porteous incident

Rangers striker was handed a notice of complaint after he allegedly stamped on Hibernian defender.

Alfredo Morelos

scored the winner for

Rangers

 in their 1-0 victory against

Hibernian

on Wednesday. However, the Hibs boss Jack Ross claimed the 24-year-old should have been sent off before his goal. Ross was referring to a scene where the Ibrox striker landed on

Ryan Porteous

’s leg as he stumbled over him while he was on the ground. Referee Kevin Scott took no action at the time but now the Scottish Football Association officials have decided to charge the Colombian with a three-game ban. Rangers have to decide until 3 pm on Monday whether they wish to appeal against the ban or not. When asked about the incident in a post-match interview,

Jack Ross

responded:

“It’s a red card. You can ask me and I don’t think my opinion is going to be different to every single person who watched it.

“It’s quite an easy one to say it should be a red card but obviously it’s been missed by the match officials.”

Steven Gerrard refused to make a comment on the incident, saying:

“I remember a few from both sides – but I’d rather talk about the performance and the level of it.

“It was another fantastic team goal. Alfredo will deserve the credit for finishing it off.”
