Sevilla's Lopetegui: 'Gil can be a reference for Sevilla in future'

Sevilla will play against Eibar tomorrow around lunchtime at Ipurua in La Liga. The Basque side are usually a difficult adversary for the Los Palanganas, particularly when they have two Sevilla players borrowed at the club, Alejandro Pozo and Bryan Gil.

The 19-year-old Bryan Gil, especially, is making headlines. The winger is brisk, technical, and tireless in equivalent degree, playing football with a nibble uncommon for a situation as customarily inconsistent as wide-left.

Gil has helped Eibar to a strong beginning to this

La Liga

season, presently sitting fifteenth in the league standings. On the other hand, Sevilla began gradually yet have truly rediscovered their form post-Christmas. They are now positioned fourth, merely a point behind Barcelona and four behind Real Madrid.

Sevilla's head coach, Julen Lopetegui, has been speaking about his club's loanees and their development to Marca.

"They are two players who are playing a lot, leaving Sevilla to defend Eibar," said the 54-year-old coach.

“They’ve made important growth and they’re going to be a part of the future of Sevilla. Bryan, specifically, can be a reference for Sevilla in the future. They’re having a very good season."

The odds are in favor of Sevilla. They've won their last four games in the league consecutively, scoring nine goals while yielding one. Eibar are winless in their previous four matches and were taken out of the

Copa del Rey

by third-level Navalcarnero.
