Bo Svensson to coach Mainz
The Bundesliga club announced assigning Bo Svensson as their new head-coach.
According to their Monday announcement, Bundesliga club,
Mainz 05, have welcomed
Bo Svensson
to the team after he was assigned to be their new head coach. The former Mainz player, who worked as a youth coach for the team before moving to
FC Liefering, has returned to the German squad following his one and a half year coaching career in Austria.
"Bo brings all the qualities we are looking for in a coach,"
said Mainz chief
Christian Heidel
.
"He started working as a coach from scratch in our youth department and played under the likes of Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel as an active player."
"He knows how we are supposed to play. We are convinced that he has the personality and assertiveness to transfer this knowledge to the team."
