Marwijk set to have his first training campt with UAE after his return

UEA should face Malaysia on March 25, 5 days before playing Indonesia.

Bert van Marwijk

is again in charge of the

UAE

and a squad meeting is arranged in Dubai for a 10 days training camp. Marwijk, Dutch has called 27 players for the camp which starts on Sunday and ends on January 12. They will play a friendly match against Iraq.

The 68 years old experienced manager replaced

Jorge Luis Pinto

and finds the team exactly in the same situation as he left in 2019. Notable additions to Van Marwijk's latest squad include Baniyas duo

Fahad Al Dhanhani

– one of four goalkeepers called up - and Hassan Al Mahrami, Shabab Al Ahli midfielder Abdullah Al Naqbi and Al Jazira forward Zayed Al Ameri.

Ahmed Khalil

and

Omar Abdulrahman

remain out of the National team squad due to injury. The qualifiers will start on March 25 and UAE should play against Malaysia in a home match and five days later, they will face Indonesia away.
