Ulsan manager prompting his squad against Persepolis

Ulsan Hyundai manager, Kim Do-hoon has urged his side to remain centered for one more game as the South Koreans will try to defeat Iran's Perspolis and lift the Asian Champions League trophy in Doha on Saturday

Ulsan Tigers

, who displayed strong performances throughout this season, has an unbeaten run for nine games and now they are planning to win the top club competition in Asia for the first time since 2012 as they hope to finish the titleless season with a special prize.

Ulsan ended up second in both of their domestic rivalries – the

K-League

and the

Korean FA Cup

– to unpleasant adversaries

Jeonbuk Motors

, however, they go into the Asian final at the Al Janoub Stadium as the top choice to lift the prize.

“We had a good period to recover after the semi-final, all the players enjoyed training and we prepared very well,” said Kim, ahead of what is widely expected to be his last game in charge of the club.

“We analysed

Persepolis

; they are an organised team with stamina and are a physical team and very powerful on the pitch.

“It is important to start focused and this is our last game, so we need to not feel the pressure and enjoy our game.”

Ulsan's victory over Japan's Vissel Kobe in Sunday's semi-final secured the club a spot in the final unexpectedly since 2012, when they crushed Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli and won the trophy.

Qatar, where a significant part of the

AFC Champions League

has been played on, has been an upbeat chasing ground for Kim's squad.

Ulsan have a 100% winning record in the Arabian country, dominating each of the eight games and ceding only five goals since their first game in Doha on November 21 against Shanghai Shenhua, and Kim is quick to keep up that run against Yahya Golmohammadi's team.

“I am really proud of the fact we came here to Qatar and fought all the way until the final,” said the previous South Korean international forward. “We face a great team tomorrow. We played very well so far and we want to do everything tomorrow to win the title.”
