Which Premier League clubs will allow fans back on December?

Following the announcement of the

new coronavirus tier system

, some of England clubs including

,

, and

will have the permission to allow a number of fans into their stadiums. Those stadiums which are placed in tier 2, meaning Tottenham, Everton, Fulham, and Crystal Palace will all have the chance to welcome back their fans after a long while of absence. But those teams which are placed in tier 3 including Manchester United, Manchester City, Wolves, Newcastle, Leeds, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, Leicester, and Burnley will not be given that privilege.

According to England Prime Minister,

Boris Johnson

, places which are placed in tier 1 areas will be permitted up to 4,000 fans, but this rule will not be applied to Premier League clubs within that area. On the other hand tier 2 places are allowed to permit 2,000 fans or half of their capacity.

Many have expressed their delight with the recent decision including

Liverpool

which issued a statement saying:

"We have greatly missed our supporters at Anfield and we look forward to welcoming them back when it is safe to do so.”

"We will continue to work with our city partners, including Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Police and Spirit of Shankly, in order to establish the most up-to-date health guidance and the most effective process for the safe return of supporters.”

"While we await confirmation of which tier the city of Liverpool will be placed in, we continue to work through our plans and will make further announcements in due course."
