De Laurentiis revealed a TV series about Maradona

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been working on a TV series about Diego Maradona’s time at Napoli.

Yesterday is the day that will be remembered for the death of

Diego Armando Maradona

from a cardiac arrest, aged 60.

Largely considered as the greatest player in the football history, Napoli legend reached the peak of his career in Seria A with

Napoli

, where he played from 1984 to 1991.

Napoli President, who has also suggested to rename the Stadio San Paolo to the Stadio San Paolo-Maradona, has revealed he has been working on a TV series about the Argentine.

“For Napoli, he represented everything,” De Laurentiis told Rai 1.

<em>

“The city came from difficult years after the earthquake, and Diego was a resurrection for the Neapolitans.

“It’s a sad day for me and for the club. For 12 months, I have been working on a TV series about Diego’s years in Naples.

“It will be similar to ‘The Last Dance’, that of Michael Jordan’s story. Maradona and Pele are remembered as the best ever, but Diego had a personality that went further, he was the greatest and it’s difficult to find another one like him.”
