Teemu Eino Antero Pukki (born March 29, 1990) is a Finnish striker who currently plays for Norwich City in the Championship and for the Finland national team. Pukki started his career with

KTP

and made his senior debut in a fifth-round match of the Finnish Cup on June 23, 2005, when he was 15 years old.

In 2008, he moved to

Sevilla

, where he only played one La Liga game for the first team before rejoining HJK in Finland. He later went on to compete in Germany's top leagues with Schalke 04, Scotland's Celtic, and Denmark's Brndby. Pukki started his football career as a child while living in Hovinsaari, Kotka, with HOPS (Hovinsaaren Palloseura). He joined his official hometown club, KTP, as a child and played for their under-19 team. At the age of 16, he made his first-team debut, and his performances won him a call-up to play for Finland's youth international teams.

In two seasons of first-team football, Pukki made 29 appearances in the Finnish Premier League (Veikkausliiga) and scored three goals.

Sevilla

Pukki joined Sevilla from KTP and was called up to the Sevilla first team for an away match against Real Madrid on December 7, 2008, but he was an unused replacement. On January 25, 2009, he made his La Liga debut against Racing at home.  He became dissatisfied with his position as a backup player for Sevilla Atlético and wanted to return to Finland.

HJK

Pukki agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with HJK of the Finnish Veikkausliiga on August 28, 2010. Pukki made his debut against IFK Mariehamn on August 30. In the following match against FF Jaro, he scored his first goal for HJK, which was his first goal in a league match in nearly two years. During the 2010 season, he appeared in seven games for HJK and scored two goals.

HJK and Pukki won the Finnish Veikkausliiga and won silver in the Finnish Cup at the end of the season.

During the 2011 season, he scored 11 goals and added eight assists in 18 league games, starting 13 of them. He was selected to the Veikkausliiga All Stars team in 2011.  Pukki also played an important role in HJK's UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualification campaigns.

 He scored two goals against Bangor City and HJK's both goals in a 2–0 home win against FC Schalke 04. Pukki also scored HJK's only goal in the 6–1 away defeat against Schalke.

Schalke 04

Pukki signed a three-year deal with Schalke on August 31, 2011. He scored two goals in his first appearance for Schalke against Hannover 96 on November 6th. After Ari Hjelm and Pasi Rautiainen, he became the third Finn to score a brace in the German Bundesliga.

Celtic

Pukki signed a three-year deal with Schalke on August 31, 2011. Pukki joined

Celtic

on a four-year contract from FC Schalke 04 for an undisclosed fee on August 31, 2013. On 14 September 2013, he made his debut in a 3–1 victory over Hearts, and on 21 September, he made his home debut against St Johnstone. He scored against Hibernian on January 26, 2014.

Overall, Pukki's first season at Celtic was a disappointment, as he struggled with form and was unable to fill the vacuum created by Gary Hooper's departure at the start of the season. Pukki later admitted his lack of influence, acknowledging that he thought playing in Scotland would be "easier" than in Germany at first.

He found the speed and physical nature of the game in Scotland difficult to adjust to, and stated "Scottish football is not easy. It’s not a bad league at all".

Pukki scored his first Celtic hat trick in a pre-season friendly versus LASK Linz on July 8, 2014, in a 5–2 Celtic win. Pukki scored twice in Celtic's UEFA Champions League qualifying match against KR Reykjavik at Murrayfield Stadium; the match ended 4–0, with Celtic winning 5–0 on aggregate.

In the following qualifying round matches against Legia Warsaw, he failed to make an impression and was replaced at half-time in the league loss to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 6 August 2014.

Pukki signed a one-year loan contract with

IF in Denmark on September 1, 2014, with the option to purchase. He made his league debut 13 days later against Randers at home, and scored his first goal two weeks later in a 2–2 draw against Esbjerg away.

He went on to score four more goals in his next four appearances, winning him the Superliga Player of the Month award for October and finishing the season as the club's top scorer with nine goals. Pukki signed a three-year deal with Brndby for an undisclosed fee on June 19, 2015.

Pukki scored three goals in Brndby's 3–1 victory over Hertha BSC in the third round of the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League qualifiers on August 4, 2016, overcoming a 0–1 deficit from the first leg in Berlin.

He scored one goal against VPS in the first leg of the second qualifying round for the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League on July 13, 2017, and Brndby went on to win the match 2–0. Brndby IF lost Silkeborg IF 3–1 in the 2017–18 Danish Cup final on 10 May 2018. Since struggling to reach an agreement with the club on a new contract, he was released at the end of the 2017–18 season.

Pukki was voted EFL Championship Player of the Season in April 2019 and was named to the Championship Team of the Season for the 2018–19 season. He has won the Barry Butler Memorial Trophy after being voted Norwich City F.C. Player of the Season by Norwich City supporters for the 2018–19 season.

Pukki signed a new three-year deal with the Premier League newcomers on July 3, 2019. On the first day of the new season, he scored his first Premier League goal in a 4–1 away defeat to Liverpool.
