Kingsley Coman Biography

Kingsley Coman (born 13 June 1996) is a French professional football player who plays as a winger for Bayern Munich and the 

national team.

He started his professional career at Paris Saint-Germain's academy and then moved to

in 2014 due to the expiration of his contract. He won the Serie A and Coppa Italia in his first season in Italy. In August 2015, he first transferred on loan to Bayern Munich, then he made his contract permanent.

Coman won five Bundesliga, three DFB-Pokal, four DFL-Supercup and the 2020 UEFA Super Cup. Also, he won the 2019–20 UEFA Champions League by scoring the only goal in the final against his former team, Paris Saint-Germain.

Kingsley Coman has played in 39 matches and scored 11 goals in France's youth teams, from under-16 to under-21 levels. He made his first appearance for the senior team in November 2015 and played for the team at UEFA Euro 2016, in which they could reach the final.

Kingsley Coman was born on the 13th day of June 1996 in the department of Seine-et-Marne, Paris, France. He was born to white French mum and his father, Christian Coman who hails from Guadeloupe, which is a similar origin of Thierry Henry, Claude Makelele, Lilian Thuram and Frank Leboeuf.

Kingsley Coman was two years with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and with the support of his father, he was hunted by the club, joining the youth academy in 2004. After he played nine years in the club's youth system, Kingsley Coman made his professional debut for Paris Saint-Germain on 17 February 2013 against Sochaux, in which they were defeated 3–2. He came on as a substitute for Marco Verratti in the 87th minute.

I played more on the wing, and the coach asked me to take people on. That's what I do best, it's the essence of my game. This season [under Ancelotti], it's a bit different, but a good player must be able to adapt to instructions and respect the choices of his coach."

However, the 2017–18 season was a brilliant one for Kingsley Coman. He had played 32 games, scored seven goals and provided another eight assists throughout all campaigns until late February, when Coman suffered an injury in his ankle against Hertha Berlin on 24 February 2018. The injury was a partial tear of ligaments in his left ankle. He had to have a surgery that was performed several days later. 

Kingsley Coman returned from his ankle injury in the DFB-Pokal Final in Berlin in a loss against Eintracht Frankfurt on 19 May 2018. He came on as a substitute in the 70th minute.

On 21 December 2017, Kingsley Coman signed a deal extension at Bayern until 30 June 2023.

It was no wonder when Bayern declared in April 2017 that they planned to sign the winger on a permanent deal. Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – who was a highly real attacker in his own playing days – said of the Kingsley Coman "He has the talent and the potential to do great things.
