Under the Banner of Justice: Zamalek’s Journey in the Labyrinth of Complaints and Judgments

Unveiling the details of the notification from the International Sports Court regarding the case of Jaime Pacheco and the challenges of Zamalek’s board of directors in facing the demands of coaches and FIFA penalties

Amr Adham, a member of the board of directors of Zamalek Club, revealed that the club received an official notification from the International Sports Court (CAS) regarding the dispute related to the team’s former coach, Portuguese Jaime Pacheco.

Adham pointed out, via the club’s official website, that Zamalek had received an official notification from the International Sports Court requesting a postponement of the judgment in Pacheco’s case until July 31 of the coming year.

Pacheco had filed a complaint against Zamalek to the International Football Federation “FIFA”, demanding the payment of his overdue dues in addition to the penalty value and the remainder of his contract with the club.

After that, FIFA issued a decision obliging Zamalek to pay an amount of 450 thousand euros in favor of the Portuguese coach, a decision that provoked Pacheco’s objection who submitted an appeal to the Sports Court.

Zamalek’s administration, headed by Hussein Labib, suffers from the burdens of the cases filed against it at FIFA and CAS, as it paid amounts exceeding 5 million dollars to solve some of these cases.

In a related context, Zamalek received an official notification from FIFA banning it from registering new players for three consecutive periods, as a result of the dispute related to Moroccan striker Khaled Boutaib
